Tony worked his arms back and forth, trying to loosen the kinks in his arms. He hadn't done much that day.

He'd checked the messages; glanced at his ongoing project and sought inspiration to continue; put down his pen without getting much done. He'd done some work, and stared at a paper. Nothing new; nothing changed. He was getting bored, and he was getting sleepy. He needed a change.

"You need a new you."

He nodded sleepily and then paused, looking around for the source of the voice. Nothing; he had been dreaming, or close to it. He smiled a little to himself as he let another yawn overtake him. He was going to get himself hurt if he didn't sleep more. Maybe he'd do more work tomorrow.

"You won't," the voice whispered again. "Your body is too worn out; you need to replace it."

He flopped down onto his bed, driving a pillow onto his head to block out the sound. He could simply here the voice clearer, though, without outside interference; he wondered if it really was coming from inside his head. "From the tween worlds, actually; the world where art lives, between waking and dream; you're tired. Let me help."

"I dun need help," he yawned. His vision was fuzzy. He could see something through the pillow, a building with the world "Spa" written on it. "I know this place…"

"I told you. This is the world where art lives; your body is so worn out, you've lost your ability as a proper conduit between the three worlds."

"So you want to fix me." The world shook when he started to talk, though the tremors quieted by the time he reached the end of his short sentence. He had stopped using his mouth to speak,

"Exactly." There was a woman smiling at him from in front of the building, a blonde girl with hair down to the waist. She smiled at him, the delicate trace of blush on her face as familiar as if he'd drawn it there himself. She held out a hand, the tiny fingers inviting his grip.

"There's something about you," he murmured, taking her hand and walking into the building. His legs felt almost like they were working on autopilot; directed by his basic desire but moving with a gentle sway he hadn't askd for. He allowed her to lead him to a chair, to press him backwards, to sink his head into a stone basin. He took a breath of air as if expecting what was going to happen next.

Cold metal closed over his face. His body didn't even react, though the girl outside did, stroking his arms and whispering that it would be all right. "This is just part of helping you to find a new you," she whispered.

The worlds tickled at his mind, but he couldn't grip what they meant anymore. The world at large felt hazy, his flesh a distant memory. He wondered what he looked like; his self-view was already becoming hazy in the inky darkness.  He couldn't remember for a moment.

He started too; flowing locks of brown hair down to his waist, wide hips and thighs. He could remember the delicate curve to his waist, and the way his breasts moved gently up and down as he breathed; he could remember being a woman. The smooth feel of her groin, the slit inside it as natural as her flowing breasts and narrow waist; though that wasn't saying much.

She knew that her memory was false. There was something beneath the surface that she could no longer recall. More important was the feel of something touching her, the feel of blush being applied, and mascara, She could feel metal; claws gripping at her body and slicing into her flesh, bare pinpricks that told a story as they made her fit the memory. It almost felt a relief, feeling her groin slowly become what she remembered it should be, recognizing the heavy weight of her breasts. Real or not, it had felt alien to not sense them.

The metal came off of her face slowly, her hair unwinding down around her as she lifted her head and blinked at her body. She was naked other than the bra and underwear; a dress was dropped over her head and tightened over her breasts. It felt a tiny bit odd, but comforting, and familiar all at the same time. There was more of that than the confusion for certain.

"You changed me," I told the girl who had led me there.

She smiled and curtsied, amusement in her eyes. "I told you. You needed a new you – a change in the conduit; what you see between dreams and waking. Whether it spreads into your waking world or your dreams is chancy, of course, but what happens in the world of art… doesn't always stay here." She kissed hi, lightly on the lips, sending a tingle through him.

"I know you," she whispered after a moment. "You 're the girl I'm changing; in the story. But you were only half way done,."

"Details," she smiled. "Half way done, full way done – it's not the same as in the human world; you're just telling a story that's already been completed."

"And what about me?" Toni looked at herself, the delicate fingers and the curving flesh. "What did it mean, when you changed me?"

"Can't you figure it out?" she raised en eyebrow with a grin. "I'm showing the rightful conclusion of a story that's just barely starting."

*laughs* You're probably right. :D Still, if the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is anything to go by (which it isn't. It's highly inaccurate), then it should just be very improbable that the victim will escape. :)

Dang! I still haven't gotten involved in TG-Wall-Attacks like I meant to. Ah well. Later. :P
