Family

Many forms and many purpose,
help us grow and sometimes hurt us,
leaves us waiting, makes us grin,
makes us smile, drives us in.

Family has many forms,
forms which weather many storms,
friends are family too.

Watchers help us, help us grow,
say things that bring joy and woe,
support us and say words kind,
they're people who are hard to find...

That's family.

Not the kind we always expect,
not that close in every respect,
often don't know each other at all,
friends are better, but in summer, spring, winter or fall...

that's family.
