Jennifer dipped a toe in the water, withdrawing it again with a shiver. The water was colder than normal. She placed her toe in again, suppressing the shivers until she managed to slide her entire foot in. She placed her other foot in next, sinking the skin in one centimeter at a time while she fought to keep her teeth from chattering.

With another deep breath she ran forward, fighting off the urge to squeal when the rest of her ankle was drenched and sprung forward, flying over the water. She landed on her bottom. There was a round rock digging into her bottom through the second skin of her bikini. "Ow!"

"If it was going to hurt, why did you do it?" A head of brown hair bobbed up in the surface in front of her, a light brown face greeting her with liquid eyes. The mouth was barely above the water, down downward in a frown that threatened to dunk the lips beneath the waves.

"Because I didn't know it was going to hurt," she shrugged, pushing to her feet. She rubbed against her sore bottom for a moment before walking forward, feeling the sand rapidly shifts downwards until she was drenched. The water was still cold, but she would get used to it faster that way. She was wading within moments.  "Name's Jennifer."

"Sellie."The head ducked beneath the water, appearing a few minutes later. It lifted further this time. followed by breasts that lifted up. The bottom half was still under the waves, but she saw no hint of clothing. "It's not a good day to be out, you know."

"You're out," Jennifer pointed out, brushing her own hair out of her face self-consciously; the girl was bobbing up and forth effortlessly, coming closer to the surface each time, but without a hint of cloth at any point. She wondered if it was just her imagination that she might be seeing a hint of nipple beneath the waves.

"I'm special," the girl declared. Her hands gripped Jennifer's arm, tugging a little; she felt something between the fingers, like flaps of skin pressing against her. "You're sorta special too, maybe, but you can't be here. You're not strong enough."

"Strong enough?" She placed a finger on the girls head, pushing her backwards. The girl tilted, something slapping her in the face with a spray of sea water. She made a face, wiping it free with a glare. "I'm plenty strong enough," she muttered.

She felt a hand grip her leg, pushing again. She squeaked, sliding backwards as the force continued pulling, her hair streaming behind her. They weren't moving.

Her head was dunked into the water as Sellie pushed up behind her. She caught sight of something moving quickly beneath the water, before another twist of her legs brought her head back up. Sellie cooed worriedly, thrashing a bit. "I can't hold onto you," she whispered.

"What's happening?" A sudden gust of wind tore the words from her mouth, but Sellie shook her head, hurriedly. Jennifer caught a flash of tan fin, another wave of water hitting her.

"I can't hold onto you!" the girl repeated. "Trident's raising the sea today!" She felt the girl's grip loosen for a moment, and then tighten. "I'm gonna have to make you special!"

"What do you mean special?" the words were torn away again; she wasn't sure how the other girl was managing to speak in the wind. Another sight of the fin brought her suspicions though, as well as the dipping water plunging below the bust line. "No clothes," she accused.

"Sorry!" Sellie whispered. A tingle shot up Jennifer's arm, sliding across her skin. She let out a high pitched squeal when her skin deepened to a light brown, gripping it with hands that bled together. The hand holding her was torn free, the waves suddenly throwing her forward, slamming her beneath the water. Her legs wouldn't work right. She could feel them deforming, the skin of them touching one another, meshing around the cloth. She screamed with pain into the water, the feeling morphing into pleasure so suddenly she gasped. There were rocks rushing towards her, the water moving her relentlessly forward. She couldn't breathe. She screamed into the water again, her legs slashing out instinctively.

Her new tail swept at the water, keeping her away from the rocks until the swells ended,. She shot forward when the currents died, moving up to the surface for a gasp of air. A hand clutched her, again, Sellie's wide eyes staring into hers. "You're special too, now," she whispered.

"I was already special," she muttered back. It was hard not to giggle, though.

"Yeah, but not you're a special Selkie; I think Trident favors us," she added in a whisper, giggling as Jennifer smiled. She paused, before grinning. "You get to be my twin now!"

Jennifer nodded thoughtfully, smiling a little. "Call me Jenny."
