I live in a world where countries no longer battle over oil, gold, diamonds or land; instead, a new source of power and money has appeared in the world, information.
At first no one really realized how important it was.
Information flowed, went and came, was hidden and protected, given and spread. It was everywhere; in books, in stories, in ink or in screens, pen drives, libraries, legends, myths, movies, series, comics... everyone knew something someone else didn't.

Dave was walking home, a very irritated look on his face. It had been a few hours since his roommate, George, had pulled yet another prank on him. Though the two were good friends, George did everything to try and prank Dave, just for a good laugh. However, George’s pranks weren't as minor as a bucket of water hung above a door, or whipped cream and a feather. Oh no. George’s pranks were a lot more complex.

Steven was sitting at his desk, working on an essay for one of his classes. He was usually quite distracted while doing this, and today was no different. He noticed a speck of dirt on his desk lamp, and rubbed it off. Suddenly, in a flash of light, a full size man was sitting on his desk. "Hello!" He said.
"What?.... who?.... where did you come from?"
"I'm a genie!" The man proclaimed.
"Why were you in my desk lamp?"
"The rules change, besides, when's the last time you saw an oil lamp?"

, and even me this time. The ideas a bit old - i never got around to it - and the decision to use us is new... but this actually comes from a conversation that we really had.
'Course, we didn't come to any conclusion really (and i don't think they will, either), but still. Fun!
PS: I really wish this was a comic instead of a story. ;_; I think it would fit that format better.

Also speaking of comics, I happened to write up a large comic script based on another one of our conversations- and the attack will actually be a collaborative effort. It'll have to wait a few weeks but I think you'll like it.
